Welcome to the NASW Press Faculty Center! NASW’s rigorous publishing standards and peer review process have established NASW Press scholarly books and journals as some of the most prestigious in the human services, prompting the high rate of citations and visibility that characterize NASW Press products.
We offer a broad selection of outstanding textbooks and resources that advance social work education yet remain reasonably priced for undergraduate and graduate students. Social work faculty throughout the United States and abroad adopt NASW Press books for use in the classroom and refer students to the journals Social Work, Health & Social Work, Children & Schools, Social Work Research, and Social Work Abstracts—available both online and in print—as important research and study tools.
Our online databases, hosted by Ovid and Ebscohost, offer approximately 60,000 social work and social welfare abstracts for you to employ while researching the profession. We encourage all graduate schools of social work to submit PhD and DSW graduate dissertation abstracts for publication in the Social Work Abstracts journal. Dissertations must be submitted by the schools, not by individual students. Guidelines and permission forms may be accessed online through the link on this page.
Publishing with NASW Press is a rewarding professional experience. The Press is always looking for new manuscripts in all areas of social work. Faculty is invited to submit proposals for books and journal articles. We invite you to visit our Author Center for more information on writing for NASW Press.
